How to Update Project Templates in Teamsware

How to Update Project Templates in Teamsware

When changes are made to a project template in SharePoint—for example, to the templates themselves, permissions, or metadata—this information must be re-imported into Teamsware. This process is performed via a Project Update for Professional and Enterprise templates.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and navigate to the Teamsware app.
  2. Switch to the Administrator area.
  3. In the project list, select the desired project (or multiple projects simultaneously).
  4. Click the three dots (...) in the top right corner.
  5. Expand the Teamsware entry in the menu.
  6. Select the Update option.
  7. After a brief loading period, the page will reload automatically—the project has been successfully updated.

Important Notes

  • Duration: A project update may take a few minutes to complete.
  • Automation: Changes are applied automatically; no further manual steps are required after initiation.
  • Bulk Processing: You can select and update multiple projects sequentially or all at once.
